Artists Statement:
Pursuing a career in art is what I've always wanted to do but never felt that I had the opportunity. It
turns out that life is what you make it! The only one who never allowed me to paint for a living was
me!
So now I paint. I paint with pastels. The colors are luminescent; each particle picking up and
refracting light in a different way. The resulting visual is rich, exciting and deep.
One of the things that I like best about pastels is the fact that they are portable enough to paint
outside, or Plein Air. Either at home in Corrales, New Mexico, or during my travels both near and
far, I paint outside as much as possible. The rest of the time I'm at the easel by my living room
windows in full view of the beautiful Sandia Mountains. It is my passion to continue to paint the
best I can for the rest of my life.
Thanks very much for visiting my site. I hope you enjoy.
